The results of the Clallam County/Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society
Bird-a-thon, held 5/8/99, are coming in.

We were very lucky this year to have a pelagic boat out of Neah Bay and
several parties of skilled observers scattered throughout the county. I
have received reports from 48 field parties with more expected.
Participation was phenomenal! Thanks to all who helped!

As of today, we have tallied 189 species, which beats last year's record
of 182. This does not include a couple noteworthy species (such as Steve
Mlodnow and Steve Pink's Red-faced Cormorant!!!!) that still need to be
documented. More reports to come.
