Portland Audubon does not accept non-native species. It has not been
a public-relations nightmare, indeed I think it has been a great
opportunity to educate people.

(squirrels are a special case, where the Society acts as a broker
between people who bring them in and individuals who rehab them, for
reasons too complicated for me to understand, much less communicate
to others)
