Though I realize many Darts, with their olive drab paint and straight-6
(though highly dependable) motors, weren't built for speed (or looks), I
have to defend the Dart. It was a fine car, and the car I drove in high
school and early college. Lucky for me mine was the sporty two door
"Swinger" model (yea, I know, who picked the name, but hey, it was build in
1971 -- ok?). This Swinger had a V-8 318 cu.in. engine (I warned you this
was off topic folks), and was probably one of the faster cars (all stock
parts) in school. They don't make 'em like that anymore (lucky too with
the price of gas these days).

After years of driving Japanese, I'd jump at the chance to get behind the
wheel of that old car (which I figure is in Dart heaven by now -- maybe its
parts live on . . . ). OK, enough waxing nostalgic.
