Monday, May 10, 2:23 PM. Hi, this is Greg Toffic. This morning there
was a WESTERN KINGBIRD on Ebey Island. It was on Homeckers Road about a
quarter of a mile south of the concrete bridge over [lost in static].

May 10, 4:26 PM. Hi, this is Stephen Mlodinow. This afternoon I took
a couple of hour walk at the Skagit Game Range. On the dike leading to the
boat launch parking lot there was a NASHVILLE WARBLER, male, singing nicely
out in the open. It was at the point where the dike goes under a leaning fir
tree. That's about it. Good luck and good birding.

May 10, 9:25 PM. Hi, this is Jim Flynn at (206) 772-5568 with a few
belated reports. On Saturday, Jason Starfire and I birded on the North
American Migration Count in Skagit County. Two of the highlights were a
LEWIS' WOODPECKER and a female MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRD on Sauk Prairie Road which
is just north and east of Darrington and on Sunday afternoon at the Kent
Ponds there was a PECTORAL SANDPIPER, a SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER, about a dozen
SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS and a LESSER YELLOWLEGS along with a GREATER YELLOWLEGS.
Also in Enumclaw there's a roost of about a thousand VAUX'S SWIFTS in a
chimney at a theater right next to the police station in downtown Enumclaw.
It's near the intersection of Wells and Myrtle which is just one block off of
Griffen Avenue which is the main downtown thoroughfare. That's it.

May 10, 9:29 PM. Hi, this is Jim Flynn again. One thing that I forgot
to mention in the next message that you will hear is that the VAUX'S SWIFTS
entered the roost in the chimney between 8:20 and 8:30 PM. That's it. Good

Tuesday, May 11, 6:54 AM. Hi, My name is Pat Vivian, 782-4376. I saw
a male YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD at Green Lake yesterday morning, May 10, about
7 AM. It was at the northeastern section of the lake in a tree singing
between the path and the water just south of where the cement wall around the
water ends.

Wednesday, May 12, 8:40 AM. Hello, this is Dave Beaudette (206)
365-2083. This report is for the Kent Ponds in King County on May 11. These
birds were all seen at the southeast part of the Kent Ponds and viewed from
the asphalt trail that runs along the south perimeter of the property. Two
adult BALD EAGLES, 3 SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS, one female WILSON'S PHALAROPE, on
LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER, one male YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD, 4 GREATER
YELLOWLEGS, one PEREGRINE FALCON, one BLUE-WINGED TEAL, one CINNAMON TEAL,
about 50 LEAST SANDPIPERS and about 230 WESTERN SANDPIPERS. That's all for

Thursday, May 13, 8:00 AM. Hi, this is Stephen Mlodinow. Sorry for
the delayed report but on Tuesday on the road that goes from the parking area
on Spencer Island there was a singing NASHVILLE WARBLER. It was actually on
sewage pond property. Also I heard from Kevin Aanerud that there was a
SOLITARY SANDPIPER at the Montlake Fill. That's it. Good luck and good

Friday, May 14, 7:51 AM. Hi, this is Stephen Mlodinow. Yesterday,
about 6:30, I had a SOLITARY SANDPIPER at the Homeckers Road Pond. To get to
this pond, take I-5 to Everett, go east on US 2, take the first turn to the
right, go a mile or so down the road. You'll notice a sizable pond on your
left that has trees in the middle. That's where the SOLITARY was. Also there
were several hundred PEEPS, mostly WESTERNS but a good number of LEASTS.

May 14, 10:40 AM. This is Bill Shelmerdine in Olympia 866-9106 and
today at Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge there were 3 WILSON'S PHALAROPES,
2 females and one male in the pond at the northwest corner of the Dike Trail.
There was also an EURASIAN WIGEON, both YELLOWLEGS and LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS
on this pond. There was also a GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE out on the salt
marsh portion of the delta. Good luck and good birding.
