Hi All

I went out and did the 6mi loop along the top of the dikes that hold
back the North & South Alouette rivers from the area's low lying farm
land.

The area was quite quiet today and I don't know whether it's because of
the weather or the fact that all the fields are lying fallow and those
that aren't are in blueberries or cranberries.

Notably absent today;

Eastern Kingbird *
Swainson's Thrush (haven't even heard one anywhere yet) Gray
Catbird *
Bullock's Oriole
American Goldfinch (there just seems to be fewer every year)

* severe habitat destruction. They may not nest in this area, at all,
this year.
