Well, I finally got out to do a little birding yesterday when the clouds
broke for a little while. Nothing really new, but a couple of old species
in new places.

Add the following to the Pacific Lutheran University birdlist:

California Quail Callipepla californica
Spotted Towhee Pipilo maculatus


The former was seen nonchalantly strolling around on someone's roof about
a block from campus.

I can't imagine how I missed the Towhees before, as I saw about 5 in the
space of half an hour.
