Hi Tweets,

I had a very rewarding hour at Shoreview Park this morning, despite, or
perhaps because of, the weather. I saw 57 species from 10:10 to 11:10.
Perhaps the most interesting was a very large mixed flock of migrants
containing 3 species of warblers and 3 species of vireos. Saw both
Coopers and Sharp-shinned hawks, and a female Varied Thrush who became
_very_ distressed at my presence. Her alarm calls quickly caught the
attention of a male Varied thrush who also scolded me until I left.
They are a little late aren't they? Notably absent were Pine Siskins.
The first time in a caouple of weeks that I haven't seen them at
Shoreview. Here is what I saw:
