Subject: NGS vs us

As a co-worker of mine is known to say, " Data is data". Sometimes it
just dosn't fall into line.
Is it not possible that NGS made mention of this bird (Xantus) to make
us aware that not all hummers in this local are the usual? Look for the
unusual, esp where weather patterns may play tricks. In otherwords,
sometimes it is OK to suspect that the hoofbeats may be due to zebra not
horses.
I wonder what other groups are having this same thread; some rare
bird(s) put into their range when the local RBC disputes or negates the
finding.
I am sure this discussion will echo for a long time.
