I didn't think I'd ever see a Canyon Wren. Then, Mike Smith and I were
birding along a tributary of the Grand Ronde in Asotin County, and we saw
three of them on a pile of rocks along the stream. They were agitated at
our presence and so close that the brood patch on one of them was visible
without binoculars. (Confirmed breeding!) We don't why there were three.
Do Canyon Wrens get family assistance in raising the youngsters?
