birds" (to the exclusion of other topics) and always has been.

It's a list that focuses on topics of interest to birders, who
have many interests.

Including, for example, the inner workings of RBC's.

Nobody forced you to join tweeters. Nor should you suggest
tweeters be the list you wished you'd join, simply
because you don't have the huevos to start your own list in
your own image, despite the fact that doing so is FREE, with
a wide variety of places offering you such service.
