I just got a new yard bird today, but unfortunately I have no clue what it is
because it's a freaking impossible-to-identify empidonax flycatcher. I
watched it for an hour and made these observations:

Large eye-ring tapered at the end
slight topknot
lower mandible pinkish orange
slight yellow wash below, gray above
loud "seet" note
bobbed tail a little bit once and flicked wings once

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
