While doing point counts this morning at the redmond watershed preserve I
had a tooting pygmy owl, this is the lowest I have had this species in
western washington, it seemed noteworthy to me. Gee is this my year for
pygmy's? Last year I missed the species entirely and this year I've
already saw one (Leavenworth) and heard two (Snoqualmie Pass and Redmond
Watershed).
