Subject: EMPIDS!!! HELP!

I observed a very similar bird at PLU yesterday. Mid-sized empid,
greenish above, whitish and yellowish below, good-sized crest, large,
tapered eyespot, yellowish mandible. Raised and lowered tail several
times.

So I'm thinking Pacific-slope, but heard nary a PAWEE out of the little
thing, just this high, loud, sharp, kind of metallic "CHIP!".

Whatever it is, sounds like we've got at least two of them.

Ideas?
