Reply to: RE: Hermit-Townsends Song
Scott Pearson studied hermit and Townsend's warblers and their hybrids, and he has told me that all phenotypes (hermit, Townsend's and hybrids) in the hybrid zone sing the same song. Outside of the hybrid zone hermits and Townsend's sing their respective different (albeit similar sounding) songs.
