Subject: Toppenish Wildlife Refuge

Spent three hours at the TWR today, had 28 species the first hour and a half
from the observation platform including ten WHITE PELICANS. Drove around the
refuge on Pumphouse Rd. saw LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE, AMERICAN AVOCET, LARK
SPARROW, RED-TAILED HAWK. Then on to Lateral C where I counted 14 WILSON'S
PHALAROPE , 2 COMMON SNIPE and 4 BOBOLINK, 1 NORTHERN HARRIER, CLIFF
SWALLOWS galore.
Definitely a great day to be out! Following is a list of the birds seen
