Hi, Tweeters,

Due to the lack of time and the gorgeous weather we had this past weekend,
I stayed out of the "does a heard bird count on one's lifelist." fracas. (I
believe it does, by the way.)

Today, at work, I had demonstrated to me the value of being able to
identify birds solely by their songs. I had my office window open..of
course! it was what, 79 degrees??? Next to my window is a clump of oaks.I had
the following birds singing to me as I worked at my desk:
Yellow Warbler
Western Bluebird
Northern Junco
Chickadees
Bushtits
Robin
White Crowned Sparrow
House Finch
and a bird I cannot identify, I've never heard it's call before in my life.
It sounded almost like a WC sparrow baby trying out his voice.

What better music than the real thing???? Beats the hell out of the junk on
the radio and NO COMMERCIALS.
