This is Kas Dumroese with the northern Idaho / eastern Washington /
northeastern Oregon bird hotline.

GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROWS are still moving through Moscow, Latah County,
Idaho. Three more were reported this past week. One each at the
feeders of Rita Dixon, Jane Westervelt/Steve Kalloger, and yours
truly. The last reported bird was seen Tues May 18.

A female LAPLAND LONGSPUR was seen briefly on May 16 at the artificial
wetland west of the sewage treatment plant in Moscow, Latah County
Idaho. Charles Swift saw that bird plus a pair of Swainson's Hawks.
The treatment plant is on the west end of Moscow right on the state
line.

Stephen Lindsay reports the HARLEQUIN DUCK, present for about the last
six weeks near North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene, Kootenai County
Idaho, was still there on May 15. The bird has been found along the
dike road that runs between the college and the Spokane River. To get
there from the intersection of US 95 and Northwest Blvd on the south
end of CdA, take Northwest Blvd southeast about 0.5 mile and turn
right onto Lincoln Way. Go one block and turn right onto River
Avenue. Follow River Avenue about 0.25 miles to Rosenberry Drive
which runs along the top of the dike along the river. See A Birders'

Several (Myrtle) YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS were in the Kingston, Shoshone
County Idaho area this past week according to Lisa Hardy. ID DeLorme
p.60, B-3.
