Tweeters,
Alden Mason and I saw a pair of Scrub Jays at the corner of 30th and
Republican (just south of the arboretum) last night at 7:00. These birds
appear to be nesting near the gray house on the south-west corner of the
intersection.
We then proceeded to Montlake Fill and saw 3 female Yellow-headed
Blackbirds, along with the splendid Dunlin mentioned in a previous post.
Also of note was a beaver and a muskrat. Throw in the Bald Eagle sitting
perched in a snag and it made for an enjoyable evening.
