Sky Larks are quite easy to find now. On Monday, two were right outside
the terminal building at Victoria International Airport. They are a lot
harder to find in August. I suggest you call the Victoria RBA at
250-592-3381 closer to your arrival date to check on recent observations.
Also take a peek at the birding.bc.ca web site, in particular the Sky Lark
article http://birding.bc.ca/articles/skylarks.htm.

We will be traveling to the northwest in August and want to locate the
skylarks. I have heard we can get them on San Juan island. We also will
be driving into British Columbia. Could you kindly give me directions to
where they are in BC? Also what are our chances of hearing the bird since
it will be during or after nesting time? Thanks for any info you can
give.
