Last I heard Washington Ornithological Society will hold its June meeting
on the TUESDAY following Memorial Day weekend, June 1.

This is one of my favorite meetings because it is member slide night. I
will bring some slides from my boat trip in Monterey Bay with the ABA last
September. One of the highlights for me was photographing a pre-first
winter plumage California Gull. It was ochre. It was an amazing color that
I, after 35 years of fervent birding in California, had never seen. It is
quite a comparison when seen against a first year Western Gull. In addition
to this interesting plumage there were also Black-footed Albatross and a
South Polar Skua who sat on the water.

I have not been able to attend meetings lately because of having online
classes at night but there is no class Tuesday. (I'm waiting for the radio
wave connections to be improved and I could go to a WOS meeting and still
connect to online class.) :-)
