Dennis, dennis! After putting in hundreds of hours of work a few summer
ago with Stuart MacKay and others, the loosestrife stayed away for at
least two years, more like three. Frankly, it was great exercise, and I
met a wonderful batch of birders and non-birders alike. I think pulling
definitely has a place in the fight against purple loosestrife. We'll
never be rid of the stuff completely, but what a difference we made for a
few years!

I'd be very happy to join in any loosestrife pulling that goes on at the
Fill. It will be like old times again.
