Notes: Easily the best morning I've had banding. A significant
movement of YELLOW WARBLERS including the first females of the
year. Also the first female WILSON'S WARBLER of the year. Just
as interesting is the apparent movement of PURPLE FINCHES, with
many males singing in the area. Recaptures include an AMERICAN
ROBIN originally banded 05/16/1999 and BEWICK'S WRENS captured
on 05/16/1999 and 05/22/1999.
Of birds in the area not captured the most noteworthy was a
single, calling WESTERN WOOD PEWEE that remained in the area
for most of the morning
