Hi,

Man, talk about getting up with the birds! Birdsong, or rather bird chatter,
is waking me up most mornings now at 3am. Can someone tell me what bird this
might be:

A fast series of unevenly spaced, very staccato "chip" 's, followed by one
low whistle.

I thought for awhile that the unevenly spaced series might be coming from a
group of birds, something like bushtits, but if so, they are very good at
coordinating that one low whistle every dozen or so birds.

So far I have been unable to drag myself out of bed to see if I can actually
spot these birds, but anyway, it's still dark when I hear them, and by
sunrise they're gone, or at least singing a different song.

Any ideas?
