We saw four osprey fishing at Rattlesnake Lake for several hours yesterday
afternoon. Usually, there were two, but as the lake began clearing of
boaters and fishers and dogs and little kids, another
two--youngsters?--also made an appearance. Does anyone know if the
osprey had a nest in the Cedar River Watershed this year? I have seen
large raptors there before (from the ledge), but they only appear when I
don't bring binocs. :)
