Just to add to Maureen Ellis' Seahurst Park report.
I took a short walk down to the beach just south of Seahurst Park on
Sunday morning 10/31/99 and enjoyed a number of loons offshore, now in
winter plumage, and a fly-by of two male Barrow's Goldeneye headed south
towards Three Tree Point. An extra treat was a pair of porpoises
swimming north in the middle of the channel.
Didn't see any mergansers that morning, but did note 40 male
Red-Breasted Mergansers about 3 weeks ago just north of the park.
