Blue Jay, Black-bellied Plover, American Golden-Plover, Dunlin, Snow Goose,
Ross's Goose, White-throated Sparrow, Oldsquaw, Common Grackle

At Mann Lake, east of Lewiston, Nez Perce Co, ID today Oct 29, Brian
Jamison reports a large flock of SNOW GEESE with several ROSS'S GEESE mixed
in, a few BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS, an AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER, DUNLIN, and a
female OLDSQUAW. To get to Mann Lake from the north end of Lewiston, take
US 12 across the Clearwater River and immediately after crossing the
bridge, take the first left toward East Lewiston. Turn left onto East Main
Street and follow it several blocks to the blinking yellow light and Lapwai
(aka Lindsey Creek) Road. Turn right onto Lapwai and at the "Y" stay right
on Lindsey Creek. Follow Lindsey until it deadends at Grelle. Turn left on
Grelle, and just after Grelle makes a 20 mph right turn, turn left on
Powers Ave and follow it 1.3 to the dead end and the reservoir. ID DeLorme

Craig Corder and Judy Stevens found 2 WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS and 3 HERMIT
THRUSH on Bateman Island, at the western end of Kennewick, Benton Co, WA on
Oct 23. The first WTSP was on the main trail just before the thicket you
have to duck through, and the second was about 150 west of the big marsh in
the center of the island. Bateman Island is in the Columbia River near the
mouth of the Yakima River. WA DeLorme 39, BC-7.

A COMMON GRACKLE was seen Oct 25 in east Kennewick, Benton Co, WA by Dennis
Rockwell. The bird was foraging on a strip of landscaping at the AM-PM
convenience store at 1st Avenue and Gum Street - Chemical Drive (aka WA 397).

Moscow, Latah Co., ID BLUE JAYS one, or maybe two, is (are) being seen and
heard in the southeast portion of Moscow. Another is on the usual haunt
around Dale Goble's home near Homestead, Polk, and F Street.
