I live in a very spreadout, tree-filled apartment complex just off 320th in
Federal Way and was very surprised this morning as I was walking home from
the store to see an AMERICAN KESTREL flying away from me between the
buildings. I was telling my neighbor about it and she said she had seen one
beside her birdfeeder last year at this time. My complex is wilder than I
thought.
