The verb phrase "had been relocated" makes me think someone or something had
picked up the bird and *carried* it to the new location. To me it sounds
awkward and contrived. >>

Lydia,, it's understood that the use of incorrect syntax regarding the
Eurasian Kestrel is due to the fact that it is an immigrant to our country.
They don't speak English very well......;-)
