Observations were made on a sunny, calm, non-hunting day in a popular local
hunting area; Satus Wildlife Recreation Area. Very few waterfowl were seen
anywhere on the numerous ponds scattered throughout the 6000+ acre refuge. A
hugh flock of STARLINGS (1000+) hanging around some nearby cattle pens were
pestered repeatedly by a RED-TAILED HAWK and a NORTHERN HARRIER. Saw 6 FOX
SPARROWS for the first time at this location. Images of one FOSP are posted at
