Tweets,

There was a good assortment of birds at the Kent Ponds today. Highlights
included one adult
TUNDRA SWAN, two adult male EURASIAN WIGEON (one pure, one with
"impurities" - the
latter was pink-sided with a hint of green in the auriculars), one imm.
PEREGRINE FALCON,
two NORTHERN SHRIKEs (1 ad., 1 imm.), and 7 WESTERN MEADOWLARKS. The imm.
shrike
was actively hunting near the center tower.

At Lake Washington's Coulon Park on the west beach, there was a flock of 16
GREATER WHITE-
FRONTED GEESE behaving all the world like domestics on account of their
tameness. If it wasn't
for the adults' sharply defined white "fronts" and strong black barring
below, one could easily pass
them off as barnyard fowl.

Finally, near the s.e. end of Lake Sammamish State Park, there were 2
AMERICAN DIPPER
along the river.

All in all, it was a pleasant outing.
