Yesterday on the small lake in front of our house a mixed flock of
ducks landed. There were BUFFLEHEAD, COMMON GOLDENEYE, BARROWS
GOLDENEYE, and one mature male LONG-TAILED DUCK in bright winter
plummage. What a stricking bird!

We also saw our first NORTHERN SHRIKE and several ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS.

Ken.....for the record it was in Grant county.
