Tweets,
On the abherrant gull I was reminded by Nancy Ladenberger who was with me
when we saw the gull that it had a VERY thin dark tail band. She posed an
interesting question about a three-way hybrid, is it possible? SHe also
agreed with me that the bird we saw is just to big to be a California
Gull and should be too big to be a Thayer's.
Thanks,

Hi Scott

I was looking through my gull book and got to wondering if by chance the gull
we saw would be a hybrid but with three different species. Is this possible?
I do not agree with there being a California Gull mixed in it. Let me know
your thoughts on three species. Wasn't this bird the one that had a faint
thin tail bar a ways up from the tail end? It still looks like a Glaucous x
Glaucous-winged but not quite an adult to me.

Let me know.
