what's the problem? the british have both Pintail and Long-tailed Ducks
and seem to
be able to tell one from the other. perhaps not all americans can do
that and might have a problem with the new name.
on the other hand our oldsquaws have had their name for over 100 years
so whats the rush? let our big brother government get the Atlanta
Braves, the Kansas City Chiefs and the WASHINGTON REDSKINS in
particular to find new names before they pick on us birders.
