hi tweets

after spending a really lovely day up in the skagit enjoying the
eurasian species and others, i had an interesting drive back over to
vashon. as i was going across the west seattle bridge, about 8:30p.m.,
a very large gray raptor flew quickly across, moving north to south. it
had the look of a barred in flight, but it was so quick, and i was so
surprised that i really didn't get a very close look. also, i was
moving fast and couldn't slam on my brakes!! this is a very well lit
area. is it possible that another bird (not a nocturnal species) would
be flying at that time of night?? i know it was not a red tailed hawk,
nor a falcon, it just didn't have that type of flight pattern. any
ideas??
