Last spring the (inaccessible to mammalian predators) Peregrine Falcon
nest on the West Seattle bridge was predated in the middle of the night. It
was concluded that the most likely nocturnal avian predator that could carry
off 2 two-week-old Peregrines over the objections of the parents would be a
Great Horned Owl. A GHOW has also been reported hunting rock doves around
the bridge.
