Junebug - This isn't necessarily an answer to your question, but thought
you'd be interested...Parks Department is doing a major habitat
creation/restoration project on West Marginal Way, across from Kellogg
Island, on the former Seaboard Lumber site. Northeast of the site is a large
nest on a lightpole. Parks staff tells me it's an osprey nest and that the
osprey have been entertaining workers with their aerial acrobatics. I saw a
large raptor sitting in a tree to the west of West Marginal Way, and they
suggested it was probably an osprey.

One can also begin to see the great blue herons nests in the West Duwamish
Greenbelt off of West Marginal Way, now that the leaves are falling (and in
Kiwanis Ravine in Magnolia).
