Greetings,

Users of Microsoft Outlook need to be alert for the presence
of a new computer worm which apparently is the first (but
probably not the last) to be able to spread itself without
requiring the recipient to open an attachment. Full
information can be obtained at any number of anti-virus
sites, including

It appears that the current incarnation of this worm arrives
in a message with the subject header "Bubbleboy is back",
and that merely opening the message is sufficient to start
the infection process. It will subsequently mail a copy of
itself to all recipients in the Outlook address book.

At this time it appears that users of Macintosh (quit
snickering, both of you), UNIX, and LINUX operating systems
do not have to worry about this. It also appears that only
Outlook, out of all the Windows mail programs, is
susceptible. If ActiveX scripting is disabled, the worm
cannot replicate.

So if you use Outlook, and get a message with the "Bubbleboy
is Back" subject line, please delete it asap. DO NOT OPEN
AND READ such messages. With your help we can keep this list
from getting the infection.
