FYI, my parents live in West Seattle (Fauntleroy) and
for at least the last 5-6 years (I think even longer)
they've had overwintering Anna's at their year-round
feeder. Rufous and Annas in warmer months, just Annas
all winter. And usually more than one bird. They
don't travel much anymore so are able to keep the
feeder all winter, also it seems to be milder that
close to the Sound so they usually have some flowers
(winter pansies, whatever) blooming in the area most
of the winter.
