Sightings for Sunday, November 14

The 3 WHOOPER SWANS, an adult and 2 juveniles, were reported from Mamit
Lake located along Highway 97C between Merritt and Logan Lake.

The RED-NECKED STINT was reported today at Iona on the NW Pond.

An AMERICAN KESTREL was seen at Horseshoe Bay.

A late YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER was observed at Burnaby's Deer Lake Park.

From Colony Farm came the report of 2 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS and a NORTHERN
SHRIKE.

A busy birding day at Reifel accounted for the following sightings: a
immature NORTHERN GOSHAWK, 2 BARN & CLIFF SWALLOWS possibly the same birds
reported from Iona earlier in the week, a PILEATED WOODPECKER, 2
BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERONS, 1 NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWL and a singing SWAMP
SPARROW near the observation tower.

Saturday, November 13

The 3 WHOOPER SWANS were reported from Mamit Lake.

The RED-NECKED STINT was present spending most of its time in the NE Pond
but was sighted on several occasions on the NW Pond. Also seen at the
ponds were 20 WESTERN SANPIPERS and 4 GREATER YELLOWLEGS. From the Iona
Jetty came reports of JAEGER, possibly a Pomarine, and 3 SNOW BUNTINGS.

A trip to Mt. Seymour produced a NORTHERN PYGMY-OWL, 2 PINE GROSBEAKS and
several GRAY JAYS.

Twenty-five EURASIAN WIGEON were reported off the Robert's Bank Jetty.

Two BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS were seen on the Tsawwassen Ferry Jetty.

Friday, November 12

The WHOOPER SWANS were reported from Mamit Lake.

The RED-NECKED STINT spent most of the day in the NE pond at Iona. Also
seen at the ponds was a HORNED LARK and a late YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER.

A female REDHEAD was seen at Stanley Park's Lost Lagoon.

Thursday, November 11

The RED-NECKED STINT was observed in the NE pond at Iona. Two late CLIFF
SWALLOWS were seen over the Sea Island / Iona Causeway.

The 3 WHOOPER SWANS, were present at the south end of Mamit Lake.

A GREAT HORNED OWL was reported from the 600 block of Holmbury in West
Vancouver.

Wednesday, November 10

The RED-NECKED STINT was observed with DUNLIN and 10 WESTERN SANDPIPERS
from the Iona Jetty.

A RED KNOT and 2 MARBLED GODWITS were sighted from the Boundary Bay dikes
between 104th and 112th.
