Hi Tweets,

Well after enjoying the GYRFALCON, NORTHERN SHRIKE, and CINNAMON TEALS in
Sequim (with Ruth and Patrick Sullivan), the seven of us on the Tahoma
Audubon field trip headed west to Ediz Hook in Port Angeles. Highlights
there included a 1st winter GLAUCOUS GULL, a very late (and out of place)
BROWN PELICAN, a RUDDY TURNSTONE, 2 or 3 ROCK SANDPIPERS, 2 BLACK
OYSTERCATCHERS, and a WHIMBREL. The Brown Pelican was sitting at the edge
of the salmon net pens near the Coast Guard Station and the Glaucous Gull
was on the small paved runway (both were seen from inside the entrance gate
to
the station). Ediz Hook was very "birdy" and we had trouble pulling
ourselves away. By the end of a very pleasant day, which included stops at
the south end of Sequim Bay, John Wayne Marina, Washington Harbor, the
Three Crabs Restaurant area, Cline Spit, the Kitchen-Dick Rd ponds, and
Ediz Hook, we had tallied about 94 species.
