Hi Tweets!

The swans were in a little bit closer to the road today and I got a better
look at them. They are TRUMPETERS. Their bills had no trace of yellow on
them.....solid black. The youngster had a pinkish gray bill. I think there
might be ten of those beauties now!

Also spotted at the Smith Brothers Dairy lake was a small flock of very tiny
gray "peeps". They lifted off in a tight cloud formation as a RED TAIL HAWK
and a smaller raptor flew overhead. The peeps landed in the field just west
of the "lake", joining a large group of CACKLING CANADA GEESE, RING BILL
GULLS, NORTHERN PINTAILS, MALLARDS, and "usual suspect" Canada Geese.
