Sightings for Sunday November 21

A Prairie Falcon was reported this afternoon from the foot of 34th in
Delta. Beach Grove in Tsawwassen had 10 GREATER YELLOWLEGS and a PEREGRINE
FALCON. Another 2 PEREGRINES and two ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS were near the base
of the Roberts Bank jetty. About 500 BRANT were between the Roberts Bank
and Tsawwassen jetties.

A female Rusty Blackbird was in a large mixed flock at River road and 34th
in Delta. Two RED KNOTS in winter plumage were in a large flock of
BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS at the foot of 104th in Delta. A NORTHERN SAW-WHET
OWL, a late BARN SWALLOW, a TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE and 2 NORTHERN SHRIKES were
reported from Reifel.

Sightings for Saturday November 20

An Immature NORTHERN GOSHAWK was at Iona. Also at Iona, a TUFTED DUCK was
on the outer Ponds and three SNOW BUNTINGS were along the south jetty. Sea
Island had a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK and a NORTHERN SHRIKE.

A GREAT HORNED OWL was at Aldergrove Lake Park.

Sightings for Friday November 19

There were no swans at Mamit Lake. The WHOPPER SWANS that were present at
the lake for about 10 days have moved on.

Sightings for Thursday November 18

The EURASIAN KESTREL was relocated near the town of Bow in Washington State.
A female TUFTED DUCK was observed on the outer pond at Iona.

Ten BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS were seen between 2nd & 3rd Beaches at Stanley
Park. Also in this location were 2 BLACK TURNSTONES. A late YELLOW-RUMPED
WARBLER was discovered at Maplewood Flats.

Sightings for Wednesday November 17

The RED-NECKED STINT was reported from the NE pond at Iona. From the Jetty
came the sighting of 3 SNOW BUNTINGS. A COOPER'S HAWK was seen at Surrey's
Tynehead Park.

Three SHORT-EARED OWLS were observed from the Boundary Bay Dike between 64th
& 72nd with another 2 seen just West of 72nd.

The WHOOPER SWANS were reported from Mamit Lake, which is located along
Highway 97C between Merritt and Logan Lake.

Sightings for Tuesday November 16

The RED-NECKED STINT was reported from the Iona ponds.
