With regard to your comment about Western Gulls at Iona and the contrast
with Western Gulls in San Diego. Bear in mind that the San Diego Western
Gulls are probably most or all the southern, darker-mantled race "wymani."
So our Western Gulls will not be so dark but may still be perfectly honest
Westerns.
