Featured bird is COMMON REDPOLL and out-of-town PARASITIC JAEGER.

Sightings for Tuesday November 23

A COMMON REDPOLL was seen today in south Surrey at the Nico Wynd golf
course. The bird was in a large mixed flock of PINE SISKINS, CEDAR WAXWINGS
and KINGLETS and was seen briefly at about noon but was not relocated. Nico
Wynd golf course is on Crescent Road in south Surrey. From the parking lot
walk east along the dike until you reach a small group of birch trees.

In an unusual out-of-town sighting, a PARASITIC JAEGER has been at Shuswap
Lake in the Okanagan for about a week. A BARRED OWL was seen in a small
woodlot NW of the Lougheed Mall.

Sightings for Monday November 22

A NORTHERN PYGMY OWL was seen at Clements Street in North Vancouver and a
female ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD is coming to a feeder in the Eagle Harbour area of
West Vancouver.

Sightings for Sunday November 21

A PRAIRIE FALCON was reported from the foot of 34th in Delta. Beach Grove
in Tsawwassen had 10 GREATER YELLOWLEGS and a PEREGRINE FALCON. Another 2
PEREGRINES and two ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS were near the base of the Roberts Bank
jetty. About 500 BRANT were between the Roberts Bank and Tsawwassen
jetties.

A female RUSTY BLACKBIRD was in a large mixed flock at River road and 34th
in Delta. Two RED KNOTS in winter plumage were in a large flock of
BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS at the foot of 104th in Delta. A NORTHERN SAW-WHET
OWL, a late BARN SWALLOW, a TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE and 2 NORTHERN SHRIKES were
reported from Reifel.

Sightings for Saturday November 20

An Immature NORTHERN GOSHAWK was at Iona. Also at Iona, a TUFTED DUCK was
on the outer Ponds and three SNOW BUNTINGS were along the south jetty. Sea
Island had a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK and a NORTHERN SHRIKE.

A GREAT HORNED OWL was at Aldergrove Lake Park

Sightings for Friday November 19

There were no swans at Mamit Lake. The WHOPPER SWANS that were present at
the lake for about 10 days have moved on.

Sightings for Thursday November 18

The EURASIAN KESTREL was relocated near the town of Bow in Washington State.

A female TUFTED DUCK was observed on the outer pond at Iona.

Ten BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS were seen between 2nd & 3rd Beaches at Stanley
Park. Also in this location were 2 BLACK TURNSTONES.

A late YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER was discovered at Maplewood Flats.
