hello tweets.

i was at the ballard locks today and saw 2 pair barrow's goldeneye,
3 pair common mergansers, and 1 pair red-breasted mergansers. there
were many mew gulls there, both immatures and adults, mixed in with
all the other typical gulls. the pair of belted kingfishers were
very noisy and active while i was there. didn't see any adult salmon
migrating through the locks, but i did see many hundreds of
fingerlings in one of the locks. also saw a single small harbor seal,
perhaps two-and-a-half to three feet long, just below the locks.
