Ruth, I always enjoy reading your submittals. Just
can't help saying that I couldn't agree more about
enjoying the "yardbirds". Wish I could get out more
to see all the neat things I read about in Tweeters
but even so, I get an awful lot of enjoyment out of my
"regulars" of which I'm blessed with an abundant
variety here in my woods, and the thrill of the
occasional unusual sighting. After all these years I
still get distracted from my sink duties while looking
out the kitchen window to the feeders, by such "simple
folk" as the chickadees, nuthatches, towhees, and
flickers. In fact it is a wonder that Thanksgiving
dinner got onto the table on time. Thanks for
reminding us to treasure what is in our back yards, as
well as what we go looking further afield for.
