Sightings for Saturday, November 27

Four CATTLE EGRETS were observed with sheep near the intersection of
Tamboline and Westham Island Rds.

Sightings reported from the Reifel Refuge today were 2 NORTHERN SAW-WHET
OWLS, 2 LONG-EARED OWLS, 2 GREAT-HORNED OWLS, a NORTHERN GOSHAWK, a
PEREGRINE and 3 BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON. A total of 12 WESTERN
MEADOWLARKS were seen at nearby Alaksen.

At Brunswick Point 2 SHORT-EARED OWLS were sighted.

Beach Grove Lagoon in Tsawwassen was the location for 16 GREATER YELLOWLEGS
and 118 BRANT, 9 of which were of the Atlantic race.

A SLATE-COLOURED JUNCO was reported from Lucas & No.3 Rd. in Richmond.

Friday, November 26

Two CRESTED MYNAS were observed near the intersection of Cambie & West 6th
in Vancouver.

A male REDHEAD was seen on Lost Lagoon in Stanley Park. Also in the woods
near Ferguson Point was a BARRED OWL.

Sighted from the tip of the Iona Jetty were 20 SURFBIRDS and an EARED
GREBE.

A SHORT-EARED OWL was observed from the dike near the end of 41B in Delta..
Close by at the Robert's Bank Jetty were a PERGRINE FALCON and a WESTERN
SANDPIPER.

Thursday November 25

No sightings

Wednesday November 24

Iona had 2 male REDHEAD and a female TUFTED DUCK on the outer pond as well
as an AMERICAN TREE SPARROW on the north side of the sewage treatment
buildings.

Tuesday November 23

A COMMON REDPOLL was seen in south Surrey at the Nico Wynd golf course.
The bird was in a large mixed flock of PINE SISKINS, CEDAR WAXWINGS and
KINGLETS and was seen briefly at about noon but was not relocated.

A BARRED OWL was seen in a small woodlot NW of the Loughheed Mall.

In an unusual out-of-town sighting, a PARASITIC JAEGER has been at Shuswap
Lake for about a week.

Monday November 22

A NORTHERN PYGMY OWL was seen at Clements Street in North Vancouver.

A female ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD is coming to a feeder in the Eagle Harbour area
of West Vancouver.
