Hi Tweets,

Late this morning I headed out to the CLOSED West Valley Road, parked my car
and walked out on the closed and flooded road to check out the birds. The
Green River is close to the top and flowing swiftly! Rather than scratching
notes I used my micro cassette tape recorder for recording purposes.

Here's what I saw in order of when I saw it.

One bozo going around the barricades! He made it over the flooded road.
Shucks!

Bald Eagle
Red Tailed Hawk
Buffle Heads
Crows
MEW AND RINGBILLED GULLS sharing the road with the crows....lots of worms on
the wet pavement!

Brewer's Blackbirds
Large Gull
COMMON GOLDEN EYES! (My first sighting!) Two or more pairs!
Small flock of coots
Killdeer (heard)

One of the RingBill gulls had a lame foot, but had no problems flying

Female Ruddy Duck with a straight up crisp perky tail!

Another bozo driving through the flooded road! He too made it!

Old Fishing Hole - very flooded

GREEN HERON (Shouldn't they have all gone south by now?)
Buffle Heads
Hooded Mergansers
Mallards....yawn.
