Hello Tweeters,
Today was one of "THE BEST BIRDING "i had in a long time. The weather was
perfect birding in good company and the Chestnut collard Longspur was verry
cooperate to photograph in all his beauty. We had onother Chestnut-collared
Longspur in the Seattles Mount-Lake Fill in 12-5-1995 . I remember this
bird was mostly in high grasses ,so you dont see the feet in most of all my
photos. This bird here in Bowerman-Basin was verry bright in coloration,
appeared on the mud--yes i say mud,where you see the whole bird, The chest
was still verry black, where out the Mount-Lake fill bird had verry little
black showing.I took lot's of photos of this bird here so i can compare the
differents in this birds.

Arriving in Elma where we supposed to find some Sparrows getting out of
the car"Patrick saying give me the Scope ' He was looking at a Blackbird
high in a tree "saying i got a Rustic Blackbird in the Scope"We all was so
surprised and exited to find such bird today after seeing the Longspur. We
was spending lot's of time watching this bird what so many birders are
still missing on there list. I remember had my first Rustic Blackbird on
12-26-1991 in the Skagitt WRA.
I told Vicki i saw the bird in Skagitt but of such hight and bad lighting
that this bird was a treat to see.Other times i went looking and spend all
day searching for one particular BLACKBIRD all day with no avail.
I hope all my photos i took of this bird will reward me.
Commimg home we had a Red-breasted Sapsucker feeding on an Apple what was a
left over from our harvest. How good can birding get,to good!!!!!!!!!
