I was birding in Whatcom Co. Sunday when I stumbled on a flock of approx.
400 Pine Siskins with 1 Common Redpoll mixed in it. This was .5 mi. down S.
Red River Rd. off of Slater Rd. in the tops of Alders along the road.

Other birds of note were: 1 White Pelican on rock jetty near the Blaine
marina, 1 Sanderling mixed in with the Dunlin, and Purple Finches eating
super small crab apples that had fermented already just west of the Redpoll
spot.
